I worked at Bosse Field as a ball shagger, Club House attendant and Bat Boy when Pio was with the EvansvilleTriplets. Was a great guy!

I knew & worked with Pio when he was in Detroit. He was a great trainer and person. Also spent time with him with my family when my kids were little and he enjoyed playing with them.

Is he still alive? We dated back in the early 70's.

Saw Pio from a distance at the retirement of Allen Trammell's number on August 26, 2018. Walking with a cane, but otherwise looked good. He sat with Larry Pashnick who introduced Pio to me.

Pio is from my hometown of Clearfield, PA. Awesome guy. He's in the Clearfield, PA Sports HOF. Always came to visit us every spring training in Tampa, back in the day. He's who introduced me to Tom Selleck.
Miss you, Pisan

Pio, you had a great career in baseball and probably the most famous person to come out of Clearfield. I have memories of great times drinking beer and shooting darts at Busters. I wish you well.
